1.   To build a society that places the interests of all people before the interest of profit.

2.   To help different sectors in our community (such as the church, social organizations, elected officials, labor unions, artists, etc.) break their silence on issues that affect us each day.

3.   To help teach the art of critical thinking as it relates to poor and oppressed people throughout the world.

4.   To develop programs of action to address social and political issues locally, nationally and worldwide.

5.   To develop a movement that does not rely on elected politicians to solve today’s problems, but instead on the strength of a people united against injustice.
