Google Maps and Google Earth

Learn how to use the features of Google Maps to create your own customized maps and have your students create maps to connect geography to learning in a number of subject areas. Annotate a novel you're reading on a map, chart populations for biodiversity studies, locate and measure naturally-occurring geometric shapes and solids, or pinpoint the locations of geographic landforms, bodies of water, or historical points of interest. Increase students' interest in geography while giving them the entire world as a canvas for their learning.
