You'd Think, Wouldn't You?

You'd Think

I've gone and done it again
Blurred the line between friendship and acquaintance.
Revealed too much
Opened my heart
Spoken of things
Secrets that should remain in the shadows

I've gone and done it again
Shown my inner demons
Allowed the light to shine
On the darkness that hides in my mind
And the confusion of my soul is in plain view
Yet again

Rejection always stings
I should have bitten my tongue
And kept my own counsel
You'd think that at my age
I would know better
But I've gone and done it again
