Mixed Up Mess

What did you call this when you were growing up? We've all eaten it! They even served it in the school cafeteria, a hundred years ago when I was in school. I've heard names like, Train Wreck, Goop, Garbage, Sloparoni and Slumgullen. I'm sure there are more. Whatever you call it I still love it. You will have no trouble getting the kids to eat this. Let them give it their own name.

1 pound ground beef
1 onion, chopped
Olive oil
1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
Dash crushed red pepper
1/2 teaspoon celery seed
1 large can (28-ounces) of diced tomatoes
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup chopped parsley
2 cups uncooked macaroni

Cook macaroni in a large pot of boiling water according to package directions.

In a skillet, brown the ground beef in a tablespoon olive oil on high heat. Stir only infrequently so that the beef has an opportunity to brown.

In a large skillet, saute chopped onion with a tablespoon olive oil on medium high heat. Add the beef and lower the heat to medium. Add a dash of crushed red pepper. Add seasoned salt. Add celery seed. Add canned tomatoes. Add Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a simmer and let simmer for 5 minutes. Mix in the drained and cooked macaroni and parsley. Simmer for another 5 minutes.
