Warmup: Concert Bb major scale and Concert G minor scale in whole notes, half notes, quarter notes, and eighth notes. Brass should still be doing lip slurs, as well; flutes should be doing our "low-high-low"s, and clarinets practicing going over the break. 

Wind players should be focusing on breathing; specifically, working towards continuity of breath when playing and using tonguing (as appropriate compared to slurs, etc.). Students are currently frequently breaking/stopping air between notes, and we are working towards better musicality with consistency of breathing.

All students should be practicing our new songs, "Creatures in the Attic" and "Overture 1812".
In addition, students should be practicing the following:

Woodwinds: Flutes, please keep adding in the "Low-high-lows" for Bb through low E. Clarinets, go back to reviewing practicing our exercises for playing over the break. Saxophones, reviewing healthy tone and F# vs. F natural

All should review a few exercises from each page of the book from page 4/5 through around 15 (holiday songs excepted unless desired). 

New music! Please start practicing "Creatures in the Attic" and "Overture 1812." Try to write in note names ONLY AS NEEDED. Recordings are available here.
