Successful Officer Training                                                             July 25, 2012, 3:34 PM
On Monday, the officers traveled to Dixon, Iowa where they received training for the upcoming year at the Wapsi Nature Center. The officers started out the day in the wilderness participating in a number of team building and problem solving activities. They learned to work together to accomplish a task! As the weather got hotter, the team changed scenery and went inside of a cabin for lunch, followed by the business portion of the day. They worked together to create a Plan of Work (POW) for the year, and divided the year's responsibilities evenly. It will be a great year, as the officer team already has everything planned!

A Great National Leadership Conference!                                    July 18, 2012, 11:04 AM
Congratulations to everyone that competed at the 2012 National Leadership Conference! After a day of traveling, the students and Mrs. Cleppe arrived in San Antonio, Texas! Ready to explore the surrounding area and enjoy what Texas had to offer, the students were excited to let loose. The first day was spent at Six Flags, and students spent all day enjoying rides and the water park, but then it was time to get down to business. Each student worked hard in his or her competitive event. Alicia and Drew made the finals for Banking and Financial Systems, where they placed in the top 15 of the nation! Kelcie placed 8th, and was the first Bettendorf student to ever get on stage at Nationals! Great year for everyone!
