I am a PhD student at the University of Illinois at Chicago in the Ecology and Evolution Department. I am also a Computational Associate of Atmospheric Modeling at Argonne National Laboratory. My focus in on model development related to land surface emissions and biogeochemical cycles in agricultural systems. My research involves integrating agricultural management practices (maize, soybean, and spring wheat crop types) into the Community Land Model (CLM); integrating dynamic land use change into CLM to understand the effects on climate; and investigating the impact of farming practices on soil organic carbon, including residue management, fertilizer use, and land cover change.
