Dr. Packard teaches 16th, 17th and 18th century literature courses, English literature surveys, and introductory composition and literature classes. Her current research project focuses on 16th and 17th century representations of childhood and the roles they play in period understandings of cultural reproduction. Before coming to Henderson State University, Dr. Packard was a Lecturer in English at Vanderbilt University. In 2010 she received her PhD in early modern English literature, and she earned her MA in 2006, both from Vanderbilt. She completed her undergraduate studies at Washington University in St. Louis in 2005.
