Last but certainly not least, the dams are an enormous source of funds for salmon restoration efforts. Literally everyone in the Northwest pays between 15 to 20 percent or more of their electric bills for salmon and wildlife restoration. ( Northwest River Partners ) Working notes Evolutionary Significant Unit Supplementation Hatchery Only in the United States can you buy an endangered species for $2 a pound, continue to commercially harvest them, while at the same time spend $1 BILLION per year to save them, with no one in charge, and with little accountability for the money that is being spent. In the Pacific Northwest a portion of every dollar paid for your monthly electric bill goes for salmon recovery. This amount will vary from area to area, ranging from 2 to 25 percent. For every 10 salmon returning to spawn, 6 are taken by Ocean Harvest, 2 are reserved for "Tribal Nets", 1 is killed by Predators, and only 1 will have the chance to Spawn, all this occurs before there are any dams to be breached. There are now more fish going downstream than before dams were constructed on the Snake and Columbia Rivers. The problem is that the National Marine Fisheries Service does not count hatchery fish in the Pacific Northwest. If hatchery fish were counted in this issue there would be no threatened or endangered salmon listings in the Pacific Northwest. The DNA of a hatchery fish is the same as a traditional fish, the only way you can tell the difference is that the hatchery fish has a clipped fin and a traditional fish does not. There are small differences in the way they are raised, but biologically and genetically they are one and the same. Once nearly eradicated, the disease now kills some 2.7 million people a year; with hundreds of millions more taken ill and sentenced to lifelong recurrences since there is no cure. Malaria deaths reached an all time high in Africa last year. So needless are these deaths, given DDT's effectiveness, that Dr. Wenceslaus Kilama, chairman of the Malaria Foundation International, compares the malaria epidemic to "filling up seven Boeing 747 airliners every day and then deliberately crashing them into Mt. Kilamanjaro." Anti-DDT sentiment reached a fever pitch in 1971, when a seven month long trial was held before an EPA administrative judge. He concluded DDT was not "a hazard to man...or other wildlife." " THE SALMON DOOMSDAY CLOCK IS BUILT ON JUNK SCIENCE " ONE OF THE MOST POPULAR ENVIRONMENTAL TACTICS IS CURRENTLY AT WORK. IF YOU KEEP REPEATING A LIE OFTEN ENOUGH, PEOPLE WILL COME TO BELIEVE IT. LOOK AT HOW THEY LIE, CHEAT AND STEAL TO JUSTIFY THEIR AGENDA. THEY ARE USING THIS FRABICATED SCIENTIFC STUDY TO EXTORT MONEY FROM THE GENERAL PUBLIC TO SAVE THE WILD SALMON. THIS IS NOTHING SHORT OF FRAUD. FOLLOWING IS THE CURRENT ENVIRONMENTALIST AGENDA AND THE FABRICATED SUPPORT FOR IT. THE SNAKE RIVER DAMS NEED TO BE BREACHED TO RESTORE SALMON RUNS. http://www.tu.org/salmon/fish.html A quote from actor Woody Harrelson: The definition of a Developer: The definition of an Environmentalist: " The only thing necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing."
