The Fraser River is in British Columbia and is un-dammed and similar in a lot of respects to the Snake and Columbia rivers.  Over time comparing the salmon runs between the two rivers systems appear to be about the same, however it needs to be noted the Fraser River has no dams and the Snake and Columbia rivers are dammed.   Because salmon spend 95 % of the time in the ocean this indicates that ocean conditions and climate conditions have a huge impact on Salmon Runs, not solely dams as may suggest.
