Fulfilling every child’s dream of protecting the planet and preserving diverse animal life, Petz Rescue Wildlife Vet allows young players to save, nurture and heal endangered animals. In the process they will face real challenges on the journey to becoming a great veterinarian, and possibly join one of the world’s most prestigious NGOs (non-governmental organizations).
Story & Gameplay
The game begins with players in the role of a young vet, who has just opened their first animal clinic. Through a series of more than 30 missions you will provide a number of veterinary services including caring for neighbors’ domesticated pets, as well as the local exotic baby animals you come across. These animals cover more than 22 different species including: sea turtles, panthers, giraffes, panda bears, zebras, kangaroos, elephants and penguins. Using the Wii Remote to perform various functions related to diagnosis, curing, observation and healing of these animals, you will gain a greater understanding of their physical structure and what it takes to keep them healthy. Eventually, the respect and confidence this knowledge gains you with your clients and in the community will open up a new storyline within the game regarding a mysterious illness that is affecting all the animals in the area. Investigate this to find out if the local factory could be polluting the rivers and thus be causing the animals’ diseases in a quest to put your skills to the test to save the wild creatures that we share our planet with.
Petz Rescue Wildlife Vet contains a two-player competitive multiplayer. Here using the motion-sensitive capabilities players race through a series of mini-games to save save animals in danger.

128/365 - HOMEWARD BOUND
Day 128 of the 365 Journey. The 21 hour trek began yet once again! Even though the vacation started out on a crappy note, it ended very well. As grumpy as I may have been at times, I continued to remind myself that I was in FIJI! How many people get to go to FIJI?! SERIOUSLY?! I was in FIJI!!! Hundreds of thousands of people each year think about the vacations that they would LOVE to take. I was fortunate enough to actually have this vacation. I got to dive the waters of FIJI, eat excellent food, visit a school of beautiful Fijian kids who were just awesome, met some great people from both the island and the states, slept in quite a few days, wore a sarong (multiple times as you know), listened to the rain and the swaying of the palm trees, spent awesome quality time with friends and family, met a few stray cats, walked the beach looking for a coconut , pealed a vine, laid in a hammock, picked up some sea shells, made a tribal necklace, tripped over a step (you can do that ANYWHERE), was bitten by mosquito’s, ate dried peas as a bar snack, watched the firewalkers, ignored the ant in my water, and dove with the SHARKS! Who dives with SHARKS?! Oh yea baby…that’s right SHARKS . There were BULL Sharks, White Tip Reef Sharks, and the BIGGEST Nurse Sharks I’ve ever seen, not to mention the couple thousand fish. The Tiger shark didn’t show up for either of the dives. Dirk and I had Bull Shark swim right at us and turn at the last minute. Literally…..CLOSER then arms reach. The best part; Dirk didn’t even know he was there until he was pretty much THAT close. Talk about having a great time. As much fun as it was I walked away with a greater appreciation for what I have. Suzanne had a conversation one day with our cleaning lady over a bunch of pictures on my laptop. They were talking about the snow in ne of the photos. Suzanne asked if she had ever seen snow before. Of course the answer was no as she had never been off of the tropical island of Beqa. The lady asked if it was cold like the refrigerator. That made Suzanne smile. It really put things into perspective. Don’t misunderstand me, I’m not saying that my life in any way shape or form is better than that of anyone else. I felt very thankful to be in a position where I was able to visit another part of the world. A part that I had never seen before. An opportunity to experience something foreign and emotional. Life is short…Enjoy everyday (even when your vacation starts out crappy…haha) I hope I’m just as fortunate further in life to be able to take my next vacation and learn new things! Thanks Again Fiji! Strobist: No strobist info as I was on a BUS ride!DSC 4733
This is Kohl. Kohl is my youngest son. He is the most enigmatic child I know. I took Kohl, and his sister on a road trip to San Carlos, Sonora, Mexico immediately after my ex-wife and I announced our divorce. It was refreshing to be on the road with my children. It helped me to realize that I could be an influence in my children’s lives forever. This trip gave me great perspective. On the way home we stopped at a McDonalds in Hermosillo. I think the kids got sick playing in the play place. The next day they both got sick all over my car. They got sick all over my car many times. Before my divorce this would have upset me. I would have felt put-out. This time though… it was an opportunity to show them how much I loved them. We made an unplanned stop at a hotel in Flagstaff, where we could clean-up and I could just take care of my precious children. Helping my children was no longer something that ‘I had to do’. This became something that ‘I got to do’. This road trip became a huge turning point in my life. It represents a point in my life where I grew-up a little. Man! I wish I had learned these things 16 years earlier when I thought I was ready to get married. Kohl was mesmerized by the beach and the sea. We were usually the only ones on the beach. We spent all day there every day for a week. It never grew old. With sunsets like this, and temperatures that allowed us to play in the water into the evening. It was a paradise with my children. This moment represents life altering epiphanies for me. It gives me the courage to move on and do it right this time.
Artist Josie Iselin celebrates the diversity and beauty of nature with her exquisite portraits of seashells. Like her extremely popular Beach Stones and Leaves & Pods, Seashells is not a field guide but an artful and informative portrayal of a beloved part of our natural world. The book balances the exotic with the familiar, from tropical corals and rare fossils to everyday clamshells and barnacles. In her introduction and captions, marine geologist and paleontologist Sandy Carlson introduces the reader to seashells in all their variety, explaining why they look as they do. Both an art book and a contemplation of nature, Seashells combines aesthetic delight in natural things with scientific fact and philosophical wonder.See also:
