[20:27] Merissa Milena pauses on her stroll, blinking over at the lone figure holding vigil over the ocean beyond. She bites her lip and watches for a moment, not really able to think of a reason to approach. [20:27] Ayr Bosatsu turned his head a moment having heard footsteps. His head would nod to her, a hand lifting in some semblences of a hello. [20:28] Merissa Milena feels her cheeks burn and waggles fingers back. She looks about for a moment before stepping up on the rocks, just a little further, into earshot. "Nice view?" She asked, wondering what it was with those masks. [20:30] Ayr Bosatsu slowly parted his lips, his voice soft and somewhat somber. Carrying with it that rough-edge scottish accent he'd let his words drift out lowly, "Exceptionally nice." Stepping somewhat to the left he'd offer her space. "By all means." [20:32] Merissa Milena takes a few steps closer, settling in that space so offered to her. She half expected to be run through or simply pushed into the crashing waves beyond. Midian tended to leave a first impression on a girl. "I hope you don't mind me bugging you." [20:33] Ayr Bosatsu let his head shake softly, long blackened strands of hair falling about his masks. "Iya. You're not bugging me at all." Keeping his distance - for her own security- he'd tilt his head to the side as he felt a longing gush of wind brush over them, exhaling in tune with it. "Sometimes its nice to remind you of a world beyond this one. Don't you think?" [20:39] Merissa Milena feels secure enough to allow her eyes the luxury of fluttering closed, ragged whisps of hair strewn briefly by the breeze's caress, salty air almost tangy. "Mm. That horizon." She comments, idly. "Makes you feel so far away from it all." [20:41] Ayr Bosatsu would nod, his own eyes already shut over. Each arm remained folded across his chest - letting his body sway and breath with the incoming streams of air. "So desu ne..." Pursing his lips together he'd inhale deeply, letting his head roll back as he stared to the sky. [20:45] Merissa Milena hadn't a clue what he'd just said, so makes an appropriate rebuttle. "Muy esplendido." A sage nod. [20:46] Ayr Bosatsu shakes his head a bit, "explendido...Hn. You're good? Or...Very good? Muy being the term for very i think..." Clicking his tongue he'd try another tact, "Mi Est Ayr. Englais por favor?" [20:48] Merissa Milena smiles and nods to him. "Very pretty, en explicar. To explain." A soft giggle. "I'm sorry, I didn't understand what you said, so I thought I'd throw in some words of my own." [20:49] Ayr Bosatsu "Nihon-go..that is to say..Japanese-language. It was an emphatic statement. To say 'so desu ne' is a sort of other way of saying 'thats right, isn't it?' or 'yes, right?' It' odd language. Difficult to translate sometimes." Laughing back softly he'd rub the back of his head bashfully. [20:51] Merissa Milena nods, smiling. "Almost metaphoric. Each statement is open to interpretation, depending on the situation and the people involved, I suppose." She clears her throat. "Mi madre me enseno nuestra primera lengua." She explains. "My mother taught me as my first language." [20:53] Ayr Bosatsu "mmm," a dip of his head. "I can pick up bits and pieces of most languages that use romanji characters." His ears would tilt to listen to her speak, smiling as she did. "Can't say I've heard many spanish speaking individuals in this city. Less so ones who would approach a random man armed to the nines on a cliff. Quite the surprise indeed," another nod to that, still smiling himself. [20:54] Merissa Milena shrugs. "What can I say. I'm an idiot. I doubt it would make much difference if you did anything to me. So perhaps that adds some security? Why bother?" A soft smile. "Can't go through life not living." [20:56] Ayr Bosatsu frowns a bit, "thats more of a statement that i would hit you for than anything else. Not out of malice but...don't call yourself an idiot." He'd shake his head at that, "There are degrees of innocene and security. Besides. I'm not harmful to most people. Could always say you have a sixth sense," a goofy smirk took hold of his features as he looked to her. "But i do agree life is for living. Even if we do foolish things in the eyes of others." [20:59] Merissa Milena sees nothing more than the, well, it wasn't exactly a happy expression painted onto that mask. She looks into it for a long moment, as if trying to read it, wondering if the other mask was worn when he was happy. "Okay. Not an idiot, then. Perhaps a bit too forward for my own good sometimes. Oh well." She rocks on the balls of her feet. "So, any particular reason your out here, alone?" [21:00] Ayr

"November 16th, 1989, Geneva Switzerland. The DJ is playing Bad Brains over the PA. The song is "At The Movies." I remember when I sat in Paul Cleary's car and Derryl played me a demo version of that song. I think it was in 1980. The song "I" rolls by and I remember watching the Bad Brains work on that song in Nathan's basement. So what do you do with your past? When I sit in the van for hours at a time I walk backwards through myself and think about the things that have happened. A word that I despise comes into my thoughts. That word is regret. I hate that. Regret is an ugly and destructive luxury and must be avoided at all costs. Today I thought about all the years on the road with Black Flag. The road has a way of turning me on myself. The road keeps coming back in my face. Confusion. Comparison. They trip." Henry Rollins **** I had a PET/CT on Thursday. Friday was technically Day 100. That counter is post transplant. This counter is the day of the transplant. Eh... Not that anyone really cares about that discrepancy (besides me.) I took this wonderful picture in the waiting room of the UW Paul Carbone Cancer Clinics. So much time spent in that room, waiting angrily. They finally come get me, take my vitals, ask a series of questions (and this series of questions NEVER changes) and then there is another sizable wait for the holy doctor to emerge and run through another series of similar questions. It's a routine. A dance. It never changes... Today, the results from the PET/CT showed that there was no indication of abnormal metabolic activity. I'm still in remission. My last remission stood for less than 5 months. This time it's been 6 months, so far. My pill regimen is slowly changing. By mid December I should be down to roughly 5-8 a day instead of 25 a day. Hurray for science. ("Hey everybody, we just made cancer airborne and contagious. Science! We're all about could'da, not about should'da." - Patton Oswalt) Next day of note: day 181/180.
