103-365 (Recipe for Failure)
Recipe for failure: 1. Pour milk on on a cup against a white wall; you did notice the milk pouring down right? 1.1 Use a regular jar to pour the milk; it makes the milk look so thin, perfect! 1.2 Don't zoom or get close to the subject; that makes the milk barely visible. 1.3 Don't ask for help. Once you tried number 1, and you already have a full cup of milk try number 2: 2. Grab a spoon with instantaneous coffee and slowly empty the contents of the spoon into the cup of milk. 2.1 Coffee grains are big enough that they aren't going to fall slowly into the cup, making it impossible to take the picture at the same moment they are falling. 2.2 Look how amazing your reflection looks on the spoon! 2.3 Don't ask for help; that way you are able to empty the spoon on the edge of the cup. You have picture number 2 ready? Lets go to number 3 shall we? 3. If you already made a mess on the table, why not take a picture of it as well!! 3.1 Ask for help this time: Tell someone you were fooling around with milk, coffee and your camera on top of a perfectly cleaned table and let us know how it goes. 4. Make a collage with with all those photos and publish it on flickr so that at least the viewer and the person you ask to help you clean up the table gets a good laugh out of it :D

We spent the day laying down a new rug in our living room with the help of Stef's mom, sister, and brother-in-law. The new rug is actually an old rug that belonged the Stephanie's great-grandparents, but it's been cleaned and it looks spectacular in our living room. It keeps the downstairs a lot warmer too, which has been a big concern of ours, since our heater isn't exactly working properly lately. Since I didn't do much during the laying down of the rug, the real ordeal for me was trying to figure out how to rearrange our living room to accommodate the rug. I was really pleased with what we ended up with, but I was so stressed-out by the whole process (I take my interior decorating a little too seriously, I guess) that I needed a glass of wine when we all went out to eat at Friday's. A glass of wine, some fried macaroni and cheese, and a bacon cheeseburger. Yeah, I'm class all the way.
