Today I had to get my picture taken at work to go on all the official things, such as the posters, the website, in the diaries etc etc. So I thought I should make an effort with my appearance and put on make up and a nice top! Having my hair cut the night before helped too! It rained all day, but I had to go out a brave it in the afternoon as I had to pick up jeans from the tailors. I got all the way to the tailors and back to George Square before the rain got really heavy - as in bouncing off the pavement heavy. By the time I walked back up the hill and got into work I was literally soaked to the skin! (those of you who know me know my aversion to umbrellas, it's hats all the way for me!). To make matters worse I'd been wearing little flip flops, which were now cutting into my feet :( My lovely hair was ruined, so I wasn't too happy. I went into my office and had to take off the jeans I was wearing and put on the ones I'd just picked up. Then I went and wrung out my jeans to try and get some of the water out of them. (Obviously today's picture was taken in the morning before I left the flat, when my hair was still nice!) Then after work I was meeting Heather to go to Xscape for dinner and to see sex and the city. I didn't feel particularly well dressed for dinner in my big baggy jeans, my flip flops that were cutting my feet, my still damp top and my curly frizzy hair. However, I just got on with it. The film was great, I'd managed to avoid reading or hearing anything about it at all, so I literally had no idea what was going to happen in it - which I thought was quite an achievement in its self! Today I also managed to get tickets for Runrig at Edinburgh Castle on the 26th July, so I'm very very excited about that! It was sold out, but I guess they must have released extra tickets :) (I say I managed, I mean my mum managed to get them and was instructed that her and Tony were not going without me!) I was also offered a T in the park camping ticket today, and it literally took me all day to decide whether or not to take it. I ended up saying no as I need to save for my holiday, but I would really have loved to go! The line up this year looks really good :(
