15. (22/10/09) Eating dinner at home
My eating habits are awful. I stopped eating meat because I felt guilty, also known as "solving the problem without actually solving the problem". I normally have dinner in fast-food joins outside. When lucky, I actually eat marginally better at a restaurant. When less fortunate, I just buy something eatable from the supermarket and eat it on the way home. Actually, I forgot to have dinner yesterday and it occurred to me just when the stores were closed. Given that, you will recognize that a dear friend's advice "You should come up with some preemptive strategies-- like storing food in your fridge" came without the faintest trace of irony. Buying food and keeping it in my fridge happens pretty rarely in my life. And putting it in plates, and laying it on the table before I start -- haven't done it in years. While this is mostly a lame excuse for not coming up with a picture before the evening (guess who took their camera, but forgot the memory card home), I really enjoyed doing it. I will try to make having dinner at home a habit. I think I'll enjoy it a lot.Week 12.
Week 12. The weeks like the years are flying by. It was my birthday this week and we had a couple of meals out and cake! I was expecting a gain but the sensible eating and change of eating habits (the important factor) has meant it wasnt a problem and I lost another 3lbs this week. The card was quite significant in saying "one of a kind" (thankfully!) and I feel better than I have for a long time, and weigh less than I did at 40! yayyy!! Week 13 is going to be a challenge :S.....
