I've been wanting to take more wide shots in my house. More everyday shots like these. Campbell on the floor, playing with the kitchen drawer knobs. I often shy away from taking wide shots in my house b/c of the MESS that is usually around. No matter how hard you try to "pick up", with kids they always leave a trail of objects behind them. Not to mention the neverending laundry that is usually in piles everywhere. ;-) We added ONE more person to our family, but it feels like our laundry has tripled. I used to could do laundry every couple weeks or so.. but now it is literally never "done". I don't know how large families do it! Our house is old. Our kitchen is OLD. Our cabinets and appliances are OLD. lol. So about 6 or 7 years ago I painted the cabinets this royal blue and did a "crackle" effect (that was especially popular then!) and stenciled the Portuguese design on there. I still like them. Although the "crackle" effect is old.. it still works I think. Ethan did the floors. I found those great spanish style decorative tiles... i had been looking and looking for something perfect and finally found something. Maybe one day we'll actually get around to replacing the appliances. They still work so we're like, why bother. Lol! We did put a new sink in though. All of the cabinet and drawer knobs are different. Ceramic and sort of a spanish/mexican style. I need to take photos of those. They are from World Market.

Can you paint tile? We just did! The process on how to paint bathroom and floor tile is simple but not easy - and the process shows. This once-pink bathroom was painted to white in 1 day and inspected the next. The new homeowners were glad they didn't have to replace a thing. (except for old toilet seat)
