still working on that 2 pounds of berries from three weeks ago! they still look and taste wonderful. i'm following up my sausage scones with some sweet ones. these definitely suffered from my lack of heavy cream--subbing low fat milk takes some of their oomph away, surprise surprise--but i just didn't feel like running to the market for a pint of cream! also thought adding fresh minced ginger would be awesome, also a letdown as it was practically non-existent. so i've learned some things about my tried and true recipe, never skimp on the cream!! they were improved with a nice drizzle of honey overtop.
