Kim & I Skyping on my Desktop I was really suprised that I was able to get my old Logitech Orbit webcam to work on Vista. Going into it, I just knew there was no way it would work. The newest XP drivers don't even support it. I got some old v8 or v9 XP drivers, installed it anyway and it worked! I don't get the gizmo that sits on your screen and lets you aim the camera and face tracking doesn't work but Hey!! I'll take it. Will buy a new one one of these days. Will probably just get the newest Orbit out there as it's the best webcam I've ever used. Works incredibly well in low light situations as well.

A bad start to the day Project 365(3) Day 76
I ran Windows update this morning and found three essential updates to the system and one optional update for my Logitech webcam. All seemed to go well until I tried the webcam out. That is when Windows crashed with a blue screen indicating an issue with the new Logitech driver. I tried to roll back the driver to the previous one but it still crashed the system. So, I guess it is back to the old software that came with the camera and try again! I can't blame Vista for this one.
