Spring Sports Banquet is open to all Berlin Youth Soccer families as well as all Berlin Baseball families with players in the A and AA divisions.  All festivities will be held at the Gazebo in South Commons in front of BMS.  The award ceremony will be held prior to serving the food.  We would like to kick off awards at 5:45 PM so we ask for your promptness and that you congregate with your team please.

We will continue the tradition of collecting for the Berlin Food Pantry this year. Please bring a non- perishable item if you can. Typically, the food pantry is low on personal items such as razors, deodorant, toilet paper, etc and pasta/pasta sauce and canned fruit.

All food and refreshments will be provided by Berlin Soccer so please come help us celebrate another great season of soccer and baseball.

Our newly appointed Vice President, Chris Casperson has taken on the task of coordinating the Spring Sports Cookout. Please join me in thanking Chris for his willingness to serve the Berlin Community in that capacity.

The rain date will be Thursday, June 16th at the same place and time.

Fall 2015 Season

First games are on Saturday, September 12th:  GU10 @ 9am,  BU10 @ 10am,  GU12 @ 11:30 and BU12 @ 1pm.  No games on Columbus Day. Last games on November 7th. 

Practice schedule is being finalized with coaches, who will contact their team by September 5th.

Coach Jeremy Eschelbacher

It is with a heavy heart that we learn of the death of one of our coaches.  Jeremy Eschelbacher passed away suddenly on 8/17/15.  Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife Betsy, his daughter Merri, and sons, Will, Olie and Eliot. Jeremy was a teacher at Grafton High School, an avid runner and sports fan. He was a dedicated and enthusiastic coach for the Boys U10 soccer team for the last 2 years. Spring Sports Banquet

When:  Tuesday, June 23 at 6:30 pm (Awards first, then dinner)

Where: Gazebo at South Commons

Soccer and Baseball will provide hamburgers, hot dogs, drinks, and paper goods. As in the past, we are asking that families provide the following according to last name:

  • A to L are asked to bring a pasta, green, or potato salad
  • M to Z are asked to bring a fruit salad or dessert

We will be collecting for the Berlin Food Pantry this year. Please bring a non- perishable item if you can. Typically, the food pantry is low on personal items such as razors, deodorant, toilet paper, etc and pasta/pasta sauce and canned fruit.

It has been a long time tradition that we have the awards portion first, followed by dinner. We understand that people are hungry and want to eat. This format allows our volunteers at the grill to make a substantial amount of hamburgers and hot dogs so that people do not have to wait.  If you can’t wait, please go eat, but understand that the hamburgers and hot dogs may not be ready. Additionally, please make sure that if you do eat, you are listening for your child’s team to be called up for awards. Chatter by the food tables can become extremely loud and some children missed getting their awards because they didn’t hear their name called. Thanks for your patience and understanding.
