We meet for fellowship at the church on the third Friday of each month at 7PM. We provide meals after funerals and for those who are ill. In addition we hold several fund raisers and use the money for mission projects and other church ministries.
Women’s Fellowship enjoyed a fabulous day June 14 seeing "Noah!" at the Sight and Sound Theater in Lancaster, PA. God provided beautiful weather for the trip as well as a safe journey coming and going. The show was amazing, and we highly recommend those who haven’t been try to go. What I, personally, was struck by, was the evangelistic message of the production, which they didn’t assume you "got" just from the show, but emphasized very specifically afterward. The story of Noah is very much about the choice to believe God or die, a message as relevant today as it has ever been. Another thing that struck me about the way they portrayed the story was how hard it really must have been for Noah’s family to leave friends, and family, behind, knowing that they
were dying on the other side of the wall of that boat. I have a new appreciation of Noah’s resolve and belief in God under such adversity for such a long period of time.
Women’s Fellowship does not traditionally meet over the summer, so our next official meeting will be Friday, September 13. The first meeting after the break is usually a planning meeting where we settle on the schedule and programming for future meetings. There are always snacks provided and a devotion. We hope that all the ladies of the church will join us for these times of refreshing in a way that only the fellowship of other women can provide!
