Email sent to all members 06.04.18:

Dear Members

We are writing to inform you of changes which will be implemented to our "girls" badge scheme from this coming term.  We are constantly striving to ensure we are offering our members the best service and experience possible, the only way to do this is to continually review our policies, procedures and schemes and make changes when needed.

We have recognised the need to amend our current badge scheme to ensure our members are passing badges and moving up through our 4 tiered scheme at a steady rate.  The amendments have been brought about due to our coaching team seeing a high number of members passing the 3 Novice badges within a term or two, however once our members progress to an intermediate class they were sadly not achieving the same success rate and were quickly becoming disheartened.  This is of course no refection on a child's ability level, it is simply due to the intermediate badge skills requiring more preparation time in the learning phase which in turn impacts the time it takes achieve all badges and progress to the Advanced classes.  We also noticed our Advanced members where also finding the fact there were 4 badges to pass in the final scheme frustrating and time consuming.

In light of the above we have decided rejig the badges grouped within the 4 tiered scheme (Novice/Intermediate/Advanced/Elite).

Old scheme:

Novice badge scheme; Badges 10, 9 & 8

Intermediate badges scheme; Badges 7, 6 & 5

Advanced badge scheme; Badges 4, 3, 2 & 1

Elite badge scheme; Bronze, Silver and Gold

New Scheme: implemented from Summer Term 2018

Novice badge scheme; Badges 10, 9, 8 & 7

Intermediate badges scheme; Badges 6, 5 & 4

Advanced badge scheme; Badges 3, 2 & 1

Elite badge scheme; Bronze, Silver and Gold

Please note this will not affect any members already in our Intermediate/Advanced/Elite classes, children will not be expected to move down a level, our coaching team will ensure every member is working the correct badges.

The change will impact ALL new members plus our current Novice Class members as they will now be required to pass badges 10, 9, 8 & now 7 before moving up to an intermediate class.

Skill changes:

We have also flagged a need to amend our vault Skills for badge 7 & 6, this was due to our members finding the badge 6 skill 2 vault (Cat spring) easier than our badge 7 skill 2 vault (Squad through), please see below change:

Badge 7 skill 2 vault will now be Cat spring

Badge 6 skill 2 vault will now be squat through

Again this will only affect New members and any members yet to pass the two vaults.

Thanking you in advance for your co-operation and support with this amendment.

We look forward to see all our members back after the Holidays.

(Ashlyns site classes start back week commencing Monday 3rd September, Gossom's End site classes start back Monday 3rd September).

Kind regards
