Google Forcing Change to Web Site

posted Aug 13, 2020, 9:08 AM by Berkeley Water District   [ updated Aug 13, 2020, 9:10 AM ]

On September 1, 2021, Google is forcing all "Google Classic Sites" to change to a very stark web site without any color, without links to pages on the left side and top of each page, with only a drop down menu in the upper right corner. It looks as if the pages themselves still work, however, the appearance will be nothing like this current web site looks like.

Since we were able to host our web site for free on Google, keeping down our costs, we will continue to find a solution to get a more professional web site put together as we work through this problem with Google.

Berkeley Response to Covid 19

Please be advised that Berkeley Water and Sanitation employees are considered essential services and will be operating during the Covid 19 pandemic. Maintenance will be checking manholes to ensure there is not a back up caused by people putting things down their sewer other than toilet paper. If an item you use says flushable, test it in a jar of water to see if it will dissolve. If it does not, it is not flushable.

Thank you for helping us make sure that only toilet paper is flushed down your drain.
