About The District

Statement of Purpose
In February 1961, the Berkeley Water and Sanitation District (Berkeley) was organized to provide a complete water supply and distribution system for residential, commercial and fire protection uses throughout the district. Berkeley further provides a sanitary sewer system for the gathering and transmittal of sewage and for the treatment and disposal thereof. Berkeley shall engage in such activities as are reasonably necessary to satisfy and meet said purposes.

As of January 1, 2018, Berkeley entered in to an agreement with Denver Water to go from a "Read and Bill" district to a "Total Service with Improvement". Denver Water is now responsible for all water related calls or emergencies.
Services and Facilities Provided or to be Provided
Berkeley has provided, and shall continue to provide sewer mains and laterals, together with all necessary connectors, appurtenances and incidentals. Berkeley shall from time to time, as needs are determined by the Board of Directors, and as funds are allocated for, make improvements, extensions, and replacements of the existing facilities. Maps and plans showing the existing facilities are available for inspection at the Berkeley offices located at 4455 West 58th Avenue, Unit A, Arvada, CO 80002.
