About Factory Farms

In brief:

Factory farms are:
- awful for the animals (e.g. physical abuse, intense confinement, stressful conditions, frustration of natural behaviors)
- destructive to the environment (e.g. manure lagoons, carbon dioxide, and high consumption of energy and water)
- dangerous to human health (e.g. pollution of water sources, pollution of air, overuse of antibiotics)
