I am a lecturer in English linguistics at Freie Universität Berlin.

I teach a wide range of linguistics classes on all levels (BA and MA).

My research interests revolve around the following areas:

• how the meanings of words and grammatical constructions vary and how they are interactively negotiated

• how gender categories are represented and reinforced in sports discourse

• how words dealing with gender and sexuality develop and how people talk about these words
