I'm a 2011 M.E.R.I.T. graduate. M.E.R.I.T. stands for Making Education Relevant and Interactive Through Technology. This yearlong program brings together teachers who are proficient with technology integration, and gives them the opportunity to collaborate, share resources and design curriculum.
I've always loved being a teacher. I have taught kindergarten, first grade, second grade and most recently, sixth grade in the San Ramon Valley Unified School District. Here, students are immersed in technology. They investigate, collaborate and create on laptops, iPads and iTouches.
In 2012, I was accepted into the Google Teachers Academy. This program accepts 50 teachers from around the world to attend two full days of training on how to fully utilize all the amazing features of
