Saturday 12th December 2015 history was written when the French foreign minister finally could declare the Paris agreement adopted - according to The Guardian the World’s greatest diplomatic success ever. In this lecture Prof Tore Furevik, director of the Bjerknes Centre, will present latest news from the climate science, give an overview of 25 years of climate research and climate negotiations leading up to the Paris meeting, discuss what happened during the meeting, and speculate on the impacts of the agreement for Norway.
