Travel and Accommodation

The participants should book their hotel rooms by themselves.

Prague attracts a flow of tourists every summer therefore we highly recommend booking your accommodation months ahead!

Hotel Accommodation In Prague:

Ten rooms each for two people are available at the students' dormitory. The price is 315,-CZK for one bed/night. For the reservation, please, write to Daniela Korčáková: kor#
sirrah.troja.mff.cuni.cz until February 26th. Later requirements could not be realised.

The name of the dormitory is: Kolej 17. listopadu  and its address:
Pátkova 3, 180 00  Praha 8

The connection from the dormitory to the conference venue is not straightforward but very fast, about half an hour. There is the bus number 201 from Kuchynka (the dormitory) to the Nadrazi Holesovice from which there are two possibilities i) tram No. 12 to Malostranské náměstí, which is exactly in front of the university building. All the trip is about 25 minutes; or ii) metro C to the station Muzeum, where it is necessary to change the metro line to A to the station Malostranska. After that it is five minutes walk to the university. The trip is about thirty minutes as well.

The accommodation at the dormitory is simple. Two rooms, each for two people, have the common bath, shower and a small kitchen, see the scheme.
Each room is possible to lock. The kitchen is not equipped. There is a fridge, a simple cooker, but no dishes.

Prague Airport:

Public connection to the city and airport is provided by buses.
http://www.dpp.cz/en/public-transit-to-prague-airport/
The bus ticket is possible to buy at the ticket vendor near the bus station in front of the terminals.
The ticket for 32,-CZK is valid for 90 min. and allows to reach every place in Prague,
while the reduced price for 24,-CZK is sufficient only for the transport from the airport to metro.
The bus number 100 connects all terminals with metro at the station Zličín
and the bus number 119 reaches the metro at the station Nádraží Veleslavín.

There is also a special bus called "AE"
http://www.dpp.cz/en/bus-ae-airport-express/
connecting terminals 1 and 2 with the city center -- Náměstí Republiky,
Masarykovo nádraží and Hlavní nádraží (Main Station).
The ticket is for 60,- CZK (30 children) and is possible to buy it from the bus driver.
Even if this airport express seems to be more comfortable than the public bus,
we don't recommend it. It is usually more crowded.

The best way how to reach the city center from the airport is taxi,
because all the buses are usually very crowded.
