I recently received M.Sc. from McGill, under the supervision of Joelle Pineau. While awaiting for my PhD application results, I am temporarily working at Thalmic Labs, developing gesture recognition algorithms for a gesture control armband Myo.

I am interested in solving difficult control and planning problems that arise in robotics, using tools from machine learning, control theory, and optimization. During my M.Sc., I developed several theoretically guaranteed and efficient control policy learning algorithms, and applied them on challenging real robot tasks. Besides robotics, I am also interested in large scale machine learning, especially in scaling various optimization algorithms as well as non-parametric methods.
