About BSA

BSA is run entirely by volunteers from our board to our field crew and our coaches.  

Prior to the season starting there is much to do.  Planning for the upcoming season starts in January.  The board spends time dividing up responsibilities and setting the budget.  

Over the summer we have to go through our inventory and see what equipment needs purchased.  Inevitably, more soccer balls are on the list!  We may need to find additional coaches for some grades.  Game schedules need to be made and checked with BC for any conflicts.  Port-a-pottys are ordered.

Before you arrive at a game or practice, a lot of work has already been done by many people behind the scenes.  The fields are mowed and painted every week by BSA volunteers.  The goals are set up and reset. And, after the games, volunteers stay behind to pick up trash and any clothing or equipment that was left behind.
