Well, we had the reunion.  I'm entering this info on Monday, Aug. 10, the Monday after the reunion.  I had a good time, and it was nice to have the reunion in the old Bentley Community Hall in conjunction with the Bentley Fair and Rodeo.

The day was very nice and we walked over to main street.  Many things have changed, but the barbershop has not changed since the 60s.  Martin Schneider stills cuts hair for the princely sum of $7.00.  Martin is 80 years old and that morning he was up at 5:30 to run the pancake breakfast, and after he closed the shop he was going to work at the community center.  He certainly has contributed to the community over the years.

There was consensus that we want to have a 50th class reunion.  We'll be 68 years old.  A scary number.  There were volunteers to organize the 50th, but I can't remember who put their hands in the air.

Everything happened because Gail was the lynchpin organizer.  Thank you Gail.

Reunion Date was:
  • Friday, August 7 and Saturday, August 8 2009
  • This reunion is in conjunction with BENTLEY’S ANNUAL FAIR AND RODEO.
Reunion Place was:
  • Bentley Community Hall (Dickie Damron’s Dance Palace)

Class of ‘64 FORTY FIVE YEAR REUNION

Life is a circle in which we all live,
Experiencing a blend of to have and to give.

45 years ago we were together on the brink of a dream,
At a tender age we were invincible, or so it would seem.

Over the years we have extended our family and friends,
Have had both sorrow and joy, but memories don’t end.

So let us reach back to past times that were fun,
Recapture our youth, when as a group we were one.

We will reminisce and relax, any entertainment okay,
Our circle of lives joined, on this special day!!!!!
