Seren Fargo, BHG Founder & Coordinator
Seren Fargo has been writing poetry since her youth, but it became a more consistent part of her life in 2007, after the death of her boyfriend. By 2009, her writing primarily focused on Japanese form poetry, at which time she founded the Bellingham Haiku Group.
Her poems have been published in various journals in the United States and internationally, such as White Lotus, bottle rockets, The Red Moon Anthology, and Asahi Weekly. Her work has also won awards from several literary organizations, such as Lyrical Passion Poetry E-Zine, Whatcom Reads, the Tanka Society of America, the New Zealand Poetry Society, the Haiku Poets of Northern California, the Washington Poets Association, and the Three Rivers Haiku Association of Klostar Ivanic, Croatia.
She lives in a poetic, rural setting in Bellingham, Washington with her dog and three cats.

my child's crayons
scattered on the floor
traveling the creek
that bears her name--
my mother's ashes
