February 5, 2011
This was our final ginko at Patricia Otto's place, making the year of seasonal ginkos complete.
The weather was cold, but cooperative. All in all, a good day for a winter ginko.
The afternoon activities followed the same schedule as our previous ginkos. However, this time we had hot soup for our potluck.
Despite it still officially being winter, some of our haiku reflected the hints of spring on the way -- "early leaf buds" and "hazelnut catkins".
As a token of appreciation to Tricia for giving us a "year of ginkos" at her place, we presented her with haiku booklets - one for each season and each one containing haiku we wrote during the ginkos.
[In attendance were Carlene Adams, Seren Fargo, and Sheila Sondik.]
