The mission of the Booster Club is:
  • To promote the volleyball programs at Bellaire High through financial support consistent with the educational philosophy of the school, community and UIL regulations.
  • Develop an organization with an active and involved membership concerned with the total program and all of it's participants.
  • Promote school spirit and sportsmanship
  • Encourage attendance at all Bellaire Volleyball events.
  • Encourage and support the academic endeavors of Bellaire Volleyball student-athletes.

A Primary Purpose of the Bellaire Volleyball Boosters is to organize and raise funds to support the Lady Cardinals.

Unlike other high schools, Bellaire High does NOT require players to pay an athletic participation fee to play volleyball.  Many HISD high school athletic departments require a participation fee; which in some cases exceed $200.  We recognize not all players can afford to participate in volleyball if Bellaire were to assess a fee offsetting 100% of the program cost not covered by HISD.  Therefore, we ask all players to fundraise and participate in the Boosters.

The Boosters organize four fundraising efforts to cover all expenses and avoid assessing athletic fees.
  1. Participate as a Booster: A $75 fee which is the minimal amount necessary to offset costs of certain items provided to players.  All,100%, of these funds go directly to payers' sandwiches, water, snacks and other food costs related at away competitions and annual banquet.

  2. Annual Fundraiser:  Each players participates to offset general program expenses, which include personal safety equipment, first aid materials, practice equipment, fees for officials and other annual program expenses.

  3. Donations: voluntary payments made by generous supporters.  These fees are used for larger expenses like new uniforms, video training equipment, nets and other training equipment.

  4. Bellaire Middle School Tournament:  Every player and at least one adult from each player's family is asked to volunteer their time working a morning or afternoon shift during this event.
