http://www.forum2018.fens.org

Every two years, the Belgian Society of Neuroscience calls for applications to the competitive award of 6 stipends (500€ each), aimed exclusively to support the applicant's participation to the FENS Forum. The call usually opens at the time of FENS abstract submission opening and it has specific eligibility conditions for participation:
  • the applicant has (already) finalized and submitted an abstract for presentation at the FENS FORUM 2018;
  • the applicant is enrolled in a PhD program and works at a Belgian university at the time of application;
  • the applicant is a member of the Belgian Society of Neuroscience (with the fees paid), at the time of the application;
  • the applicant is not the recipient of any other grant to attend the FENS forum.
To be considered for the competitive selection, an electronic submission must be done prior to the deadline (March 1 2018, 23:00 CET), via a specific "upload" web link (provided exclusively to BSN members). A single PDF file must be uploaded, named as FirstName_LastName.pdf, containing
  • the full academic curriculum vitae, indicating gender, date of birth, (previous) studies scores, awards, and full publication record;
  • the abstract contributed to the FENS Forum, including a proof (e.g., confirmation email from FENS) of the actual e-submission;
  • a signed (scanned) letter of recommendation from the Director of the applicant's laboratory.
