Who We Are

The Belfast Humanist Group is a small, friendly group who meet regularly to discuss matters of interest to people who think that the welfare and happiness of human beings depend on the decisions of free thinking people rather than  religious dogma.
The group was formed in 1962 and although there have been many changes over the years, two of the founding members, Marion Simpson and Stanley Cowan, are very much active.

What We Do

We meet regularly, usually twice a month to discuss matters of topical interest.

Our next event is a talk by Seamus – "Anti-semitism – an important concern for Humanists" at 8pm

on Monday 19th November at the Shaftesbury Community & Recreation Centre, 97 Balfour Avenue, Belfast
