If you think that you are not college material, we invite you to think again!

Belfast Adult Education is offering a NO COST College Transitions Program that will help you decide if college should be in your future. Succeeding in today’s world often takes more than a high school diploma.
If you are thinking about going back to school, make the College Connection the first step toward a future where you are in charge!

Samwel, pictured below, took his first step with us, then stepped into the nursing program at Eastern Maine Community College. Now his steps take him to the cardiac unit of Eastern Maine Medical Center where he is currently working as a Registered Nurse. All of these steps have lead him to a satisfying career with many opportunities for growth.

If you are looking for a supportive setting to learn or relearn the academic skills needed to succeed in college in an environment that is very similar to college in terms of class format, expectations, workload, etc., our program can help. Your instructors will work closely with you as you navigate the waters of math, English, and college readiness skills to help you be as prepared as possible for college.

We also provide comprehensive academic advising and career planning designed just for your needs. You will have guidance and support with every aspect of getting ready for college including applying for financial aid, finding scholarships, and completing college applications. We're here for you every step of the way -- we'll help you succeed!

This program will help you chart a course for your future – no matter where you are right now. Take the first step and call for more information or to schedule an intake. Don't wait too long since classes fill up fast. Contact Carolyn Haskell at 338-3197. If you are still not sure if this program is right for you, the following words from one of our students might convince you otherwise:

"Please accept my sincere gratitude for all your hard work and dedication to the students of the College Connection Program. My college experience has been the most challenging and meaningful experience of my life, and my degree is, by far, my proudest accomplishment. I could not have done this without your support. If you ever doubt the importance of your work, I hope you remember me."  --Fred F., Summer of 2015
