Mission

The Purpose of this organization is to further interest in, and knowledge of all types of laces and lace making, and the preservation of these art forms through teaching, exhibition, lectures, demonstrations, and any other means which seem appropriate.

Registration for Fairview Classes

July 10 – 12, 2017

 

Registration will begin on March 11, 2017.  A deposit of $50.00 is required at time of registration with the balance due by May 13, 2017.  This is the official opening day of registration but forms may be received anytime. Members of the Beehive Lacers will be given priority for registration. Others will be accepted if there is space available.  The annual membership fee of $15.00 may be included with the registration. Refunds less the deposit will be given until May 31; you may find a replacement instead.

Classes will be held from 9:00 - 12:00 and 1:00 - 4:00 at the Museum in Fairview on Monday and Wednesday.  Tuesday class is 9:00 – 12:00 and 1:30 – 4:30. The annual lace day with the vendor is on Tuesday.  The Beehive Lacers business meeting will be held from 1:00 to 1:30 on Tuesday.

 

Class 1: Vera Cockuyt will teach Flanders, Binche and advanced Torchon

Class 2: Maria Provencher will teach Russian tape lace

Monday lunch will be pot luck.  Bring enough of your favorite dish to serve about 24.

Tuesday lunch is available for a cost of  $7.00 payable to the museum.
