Inside Scoop: Auntie Anetta
Inside Scoop: Auntie Anetta
Anetta had been taken alot of time off recently, and finally she called up Haven and Gail to talk to her. She wears a plain T-Shirt, and farbic shorts, and walks around barefoot. Haven Iris Foster: Welcome fellow readers, to another Inside Scoop with me, Haven. Gail Mori-Gibson: And me, Gail. Today we have been invited into one of Fate's top model's Anetta's home. Hello Anetta, and thank you for allowing us into your lovely home. Anetta Galvan: Hi, thanks so much for comeing. HIF: No, thank you. So is there a reason you have invited us into your home this lovely fall day? AG:Yes, there is. Um, how do I explain this? From the back of her lower floor, there comes a flush, and a door opens. Out steps a young toddler. "Auntie Anetta, who are these people?" The girl goes up to Anetta, and she picks up the little girl, and sits her in her lap. GMG:So Anetta, you're an aunt? AG: Yes, Landry (Lan-Dree) her is my godchild. GMG & HIF: Well hello Landry. And Anetta, why havent we met her sooner? Anetta talks in Landry's ear, and the girl runs off to the back of the house. AG: I saw Landry when ever her mom and I hung out, we were really great friends. HIF: You said *Were* does that mean? AG: Yes, Landry's mother had been fightin cancer her whole life. A few months a go, though, she went to the doctor. And the cleared her. Her cancer was gone. As she was driving back from the Docotr, Landry was with me, and Lana. Lana is currently on a break from modeling, being she's had to restart her Chemo. Lizzy, she called me up, crying the good news into the phone. The last thing she said to me "I'll be there in five, have Landry ready, and give her a hug for me." Then she hung up the phone. Barely an hour later, I get a call from Landry's grandmother.Lizzy had been in an accident, and had been taken to the ER. Lana stayed with Landry, and I rushed off. When I got there, Lizzy was in Coma. A few hours later they declaired her brain dead. Her organs were then donated. GBG: Anetta, Im so sorry, so where does Landry come into this? AG: In Lizzy's will, and being I'm her godmother, I am down as the main caretaker for Landry. HIF: So you've been- AG: Dealing with the courts, and it became offical today. I'm now Landry's mother. I just got her room finished, and Friday will be the three month mark of her moving in with me. GBG: This may be touchy, but do you know what caused Lizzy to get into her crash? AG:Yes, yes I do. I later learned it was a 17 year old boy. He was driving way to fast, and took a corner fast. He went stright into her car. There was one factor that saved his life, but took hers. He was driving a truck up on those huge wheels, while Lizzy was driving her 2000 Honda. He mashed her car like a piece of bread. HIF: So does Landry know? AG: I"ve explained it as best as I could to a three year old. How do you tell this little bright ball of sunshine, that she's never going to see her mother alive again? You dont, I shouldnt have had to. But I did. GBG: So what does she call you Aunt, or mom? AG: Both, she's known me her whole life as Auntie Anetta. But recently she's been calling me 'mommy' a few times. What ever she feels like calling me, is what I'll answer to. Anetta then gets up tears streaming down her face. After claming down, Anetta lead us to Landry's room. It's the perfect three year old's room. There they posed for this weeks photo. Stay tune for next weeks Inside Scoop with Haven Iris Foster, and Gail Mori-Gibson. Aad introducing Landry Anna Burns-Galvan

176,483 items / 1,382,825 views My dear friend Ali Reza Shirazi has a tshirt store at Bandra Hill Road called Final Destination , the craziest collection of weird Tshirts that I come for the heck of it and shoot.. it amuses him and the clients in his shop.. For me his shop is letting off steam from the pressure of work and life... His shop is an extension of my own mind shop though... cramped with words upon words , trying to get the fuck out of my head... some make it some dont.. Most of my fucked words love to get attached to my hijra poems and I dont blame them my hijras would get you a rise in the worst recession of your life time.. I dont wear printed tshirts or printed stuff only tiger leper prints...and plain black body fits.. I dont wear shirts at all.. nor trousers or jeans I would have to be drugged to be made to wear it.. And I wear slippers out of necessity I hate footwear I dont have shoes ..not a single pair.. I wear bandit trousers very baggy and loose and dhotis.. my color is black.. I used to wear saffron but it does not turn me on anymore.. I can come up with the craziest sense of fashion and style with my old clothes but I have lost that part of sartorial libido... I think simplicity is the best form of presentation.. My jewelry adds to what I lack in dress sense.. but I sold of some exotic pieces every time went broke.. and so I make do with what I have. I used to wear hats Sufi caps but I gave it up for the turban.. the turban keeps the head cool and hides the gray matter too..

Heartwood: A Novel
Few authors have understood the tender intricacies of relationships better than the incomparable Belva Plain. For three decades her deeply moving epics have captivated the hearts and imaginations of readers everywhere. Now, in her final novel, she comes full circle with the themes she took up in her very first work, Evergreen, bringing us this unforgettable story of family and friendship, love and marriage, the challenges of life and the true secret of happiness.

Though Iris Stern considers herself a modern woman, with a successful academic career and a happy marriage, she still holds steadfast to her old-fashioned sensibilities. But as the mother of three adult children, each with their own lives and burdens to bear, she often finds those sensibilities called into question when confronted with the choices her children have made.

For one of Iris’s daughters, it’s the choice of a fresh start in New York City—and a last chance to save her troubled marriage. While Laura and Robbie cope with an impending separation and its effect on Iris’s young granddaughter, Iris herself must come to grips with the discovery of a long-held family secret. But it’s an emotional parting of another kind that looms most prominently on Iris’s horizon—as neither her beloved husband, nor the solidity of her own marriage, is immune to the ravages of time.

Through separations and reunions, the changes we cannot avoid and the love that sustains, Iris will weather whatever lies ahead with a faith that cannot be shaken. Like the inmost rings of a tree that abide through the generations, she will be as strong as heartwood.
