May Pack meeting... It's BIG!!!

posted May 9, 2017, 9:22 AM by Pack 5 Webmaster

It is hard to believe, but we have our last Pack meeting coming up in May (Yes, it is May even if the weather outside may feel otherwise).

Our next Pack meeting is on Thursday 5/18 at 6.30 PM at McKelvie School Cafeteria

First, May Meeting is our Bake and Toys auction. Parents in the past have been gracious to bring creative cakes with designs inspired from Cub Scout events like Pinewood Derby, camping, etc. For this auction, you can bring in cakes, cookies or any baked goods, that you bake or get from a store. We understand that Life is busy and baking may not be possible. We have included Toys in the auction too, but only new and unused. The money generated from these auctions helps Pack makeup for all additional expenses like paying for facilities use for Pinewood Derby or Blue and Gold. We encourage every family brings in at least one item. And kids have fun bidding.

Second, We will also have a 50:50 fund raiser where you can buy tickets for a set amount, say $1 for 3 tickets and $6 for 20 tickets. We will pick 1 ticket and whoever wins gets 50% of the money collected from the ticket sales and the Pack keeps the other 50%.

Third, if you have signed up for Red Sox (5/28), USS Salem (6/3) or Plimoth Plantation (7/22), your payments are due at the Pack meeting.

Last but not the least, May pack meeting is also our Crossover ceremony where kids get into the next rank and I sincerely I hope the water turns color for all the ranks. (If you did not get that, you will find it out at the Pack meeting). In the crossover, kids will get their new Neckerchief along with all the other awards that they have earned for the month.

We have a lot of events which will require you to carry your checkbooks. Please remember them.
