Welcome! This will be a site that we will use to stay in touch and share information about the new development project that is being proposed for Fremont between 44th and 45th Avenues.
UPDATE! On September 12, Wally Remmers filed his application for permits to build. You can look at his application here. We are in the process of getting a look at his final plans, but after the last meeting with him, we believe that his proposal includes two retail spaces on the ground floor, three stories of apartments (about 50 units), and still no parking. The city has 90 days to respond to his application.
What we're doing. There are still a number of actions that we can take, including having a land-use lawyer look at his plans, contacting city officials about possible zoning violations in his application, and continuing to connect with other neighborhoods facing similar development.
What can you do? First, please consider donating to the cause; we'll be using the funds primarily for any legal challenges that we might begin.
