Walking along Bournemouth Beach is a great way to burn calories and fat in a beautiful, relaxing setting. You’ll burn more calories walking on sand than walking along the promenade but with bournemouth beach walks the choice is up to you!

Both choices offer moderate exercise and a great way to meet new people and make friends.

Walk 1

The walks start at Southbourne take the zig-zag or use the cliff lift near cafe riva. The next point to join the walk is at Boscombe Pier. We continue on to Bournemouth Pier,then the next point is at Durley Chine.The walk concludes at Branksome Chine.

Walk 2

The walks start at Branksome Chine then the next point is at Durley Chine. We continue on to Bournemouth Pier.The next point to join the walk is at Boscombe PierThe walk concludes at Southbourne at the zig-zag & cliff lift..

We stop for coffee twice on the walk. You can join re-join or leave the walk at any point along the way.

The walks offer gentle exercise and are suitable for most people.

We can offer a Bournemouth Bay Run if you require a more challenging exercise programme. Please e mail.

Please look at the walking on sand page for health tips even if you are only walking along the promenade. Wear shoes and a hat & use sun protection.

Prices & Payment

£9 per person to be paid in advance. This is inclusive of either or both walks. 

Parties of 5 persons are £6 per person, so get your friends to join you!

Payment is by cheque or paypal. * you do not need to have a paypal account to pay us. 


You should be aware that the walks are rain shower or shine

You can cancel any time up to the day and you will be given a full credit for a future walk.

You will be totally refunded if for any reason the walk cannot take place. This does include adverse weather conditions storms,heavy rain,snow.

Small groups work best for us and we are looking at a maximum of 15people.

The walks are suitable for most people except children under 12 and those with mobility difficulties. Young people up to age 16 must be accompanied by an adult family member at all times.

Walks take place Mondays and Wednesdays. 

Monday 11am 2pm 4pm 6pm

Wednesdays 11am 2pm 4pm
