The Alleghany Chapter, National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR), welcomes you!

Our members support NSDAR's mission of "historic preservation, education, and patriotism" through various projects and activities.

The Chapter seeks to perpetuate the memory and spirit of the men and women who achieved American independence.

The Alleghany Chapter, part of District VII of the Virginia Daughters of the American Revolution, is about 100 members strong and growing.  As with all NSDAR Chapters, any woman 18 years or older is eligible to join, provided that she can prove lineal, bloodline descent from an ancestor who aided in achieving American independence.

Alleghany Chapter meetings are generally held on the first Thursday of each month (September through May) in the early afternoon in Blacksburg, Virginia.  Our meetings include programs with interesting speakers, Chapter business, and warm fellowship.

Please explore our web site to learn more about the Alleghany Chapter.
