365/248: Aug 10 cooking up Breakfast
365/248: Aug 10 cooking up Breakfast
(journal entry) August 10th, 22:30 Fergus Falls, Minnesota. WE slept fairly well at the Wal Mart, getting up early for the oil change. Our intent was to go on a bit then stop at a roadside turnout for breakfast. Well, it was after 11 that we did stop at Monticello, Wisconsin and parked in another Wal Mart parking lot to cook. We had a lovely breakfast of pancakes, sausage & fruit (I guess you could call it brunch?). Anyway, after some food and yet more shopping (I bought some Milk for tomorrow and some juice for the boys) we headed just down the road for a wheel alignment at the Ford place. I think we were there at least 3 hours! WE did have lunch while there... More for something to do? For me it seemed too soon for lunch... but all the same I picked up some A&W from across the street. We drove on when through there and ended up at Fergus Falls (Minnesota). The campground we found was full except for one 20-amp site. We opted to not go there, as we wanted to do laundry, the hampers were overflowing. So... We went to town, to the Laundromat and did our laundry as we had a picnic by the motor home. We had grilled hot dogs and smokies. I had turkey smokies to have decreased fat. Then a storm was approaching so what to do? We got in the motor home and Hubby drove us to a gas station. We refueled and decided to stay at the local Wal-Mart. So a 2nd night in a row of no campground fees (and no showers...that is the part I don't like, must have a shower in the next day!). It is very hot and humid... has really been since we were in Ontario. It was something like the high 90's out. I wore a light shirt with built in bra. I think that is about the most comfortable way to dress in this weather. We are parked near the entrance to the Wal Mart. this may not be the brightest moves as there is a constant flow of vehicles in and out. It is nearly 11pm and non-stop. There are a few RV'ers here and some large transport vehicles. As we learned long ago the transport vehicles do stop in Wal Mart too for a place to rest. They tend to keep their engines running ... so it is noisy. I guess they keep them running so they have air conditioning... whatever the case they are a reason for plenty of noise. Well, I have earplugs. We have played a game of 'Sequence' tonight (hubby, my youngest and myself)... Middle son was miserable much of the day so he did not want to play. He did buy a game thing for his Nintendo DS toady and had some trouble with the memory card... he let this affect him for the whole day it seems. He and Bobby can be so miserable, dragging out a problem so they can't seem to see any good in anything. They get so very rude and I just don't know what to do. Well, guess I'll watch a Simpson’s show with them all, hubby is using the laptop on battery and eldest sons' speakers he bought to use with his PSP that also can work (very well) with the computer.

I don't know how many times I have walked Broadview to Donlands along the Danforth strip. I have never noticed this sign until recently. Found another ghost buried behind a billboard too. It is amazing what you don't see when you are not looking. "Wheel alignment - Frame straightening - ?? work"
