Korean Bulgogi Beef JP

Korean Bulgogi beef


500 g  Beef sirloin steak (Thinly sliced)

1 Ripe pear (grated)

2 Garlic cloves (crushed)

2 tsp Fresh ginger (grated)

4 Tbsp Spring onion (finely chopped)

1 tsp Black pepper

6 tsp Soy sauce

a pinch of salt

2  1/2 tsp Sesame oil

2 tsp Toasted sesame seeds

4 tsp Honey

2 tsp Brown sugar

4 Tbsp Japanese sake


-Slice the beef thinly with a sharp knife.

-Put all the ingredients together in a bowl add the sliced beef mix well.

-Leave to marinate for 2 hours

-Cook over a charcoal BBQ    

How to serve.

 serve on top of cold iceberg lettuce

BBQ Top Tips

it is possible to purchase korean BBQ grill that fits on top of the portable gas ring. when I lived in London they used to sell them in China town. This piece of equipment is very handy. You can put it in the middle of the table and its big enough to do a decent Bulgogi party for 4 to 6 people.
