Reverend Brown acknowledged his calling to the Gospel Ministry in 1981 and received his license to preach at the St. Paul Baptist Church, Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey under the pastorate of Reverend Dr. Henry P. Davis, Jr.

Reverend Brown was ordained at New Zion Baptist Church, Elizabeth, New Jersey under Dr. Elliott Cuff. He served as Interim and then Pastor of the Greater Faith Tabernacle Baptist Church of Stamford Connecticut from 1985‐1994. Reverend Brown was called to Pastor the historic Mount Calvary Baptist Church of Chicago, Illinois on April 23, 1994. Under the Pastoral leadership of Reverend Brown the Church, which had been destroyed by fire was reconstructed from the ground up. The new edifice was rededicated on the 1st Sunday of July 2001. Reverend Brown was called to pastor the Bethany Baptist Church of Jamaica on February 12, 2001.

In 2002 Bethany celebrated its Platinum Anniversary, 75 years as a haven for lost souls. Rev. Brown’s vision was to bring Bethany together in unity through the Word of God. He titled this “The Year of Unity”. During this time Rev. Brown established the following ministries:
      • Cradle to Glory-which encompasses many areas of concern for our membership outside the church.
      • Leadership Council-which includes all Deacons, Trustees, Presidents and Vice Presidents of all the ministries of the church.
      • Bible Study Class-where the “Word of God” is taught by our pastor. 
Reverend Brown attended Montclair State University, Upper Montclair New Jersey, earning a degree in Philosophy and Religion in 1985. He is also a graduate of Yale University Divinity School, New Haven, Connecticut earning a Master of Divinity degree in 1991. He earned a Doctorate of Ministry degree from Drew University in Madison, New Jersey, May 14, 2011.

Dr. Brown has traveled and preached extensively in the United States and in 7 countries in Africa. He is presently serving as Area Vice President of The Empire State Convention, a member of The Empire Baptist State Convention Home Missions Board, Vice Chairman of The Eastern Baptist Association Trustee Board and a member of The Board of Managers. Dr. Brown is also a Founding member of EQUAL (Empowered Queens United in Action and Leadership).

Dr. Brown is the father of two young adult men, Craig Jr. and Wendell; and two granddaughters Zoey Noelle and McKenzie.
