03 - Pastel
introduce new terms: foreshortening
pick an object from the AP studio to draw for the next couple weeks
render it multiple times from different directions
choose one perspective and complete a larger drawing
Learn about color
introduce new terms: wash, dry brush
render color accurately while still drawing neatly.
use pencil, water-color and pastel to make a complete work
incorporate everything we have learned up to this point and render an exterior space realistically.

Start by drawing from a black and white photo using the white drawing tool on black paper in Notability. This process will mimic the technique used to render form on your linocut panel.
Notice how the darker sections, in the above grid have marks that are father apart and they get larger and closer to make lighter areas. You will remove more material in the light areas
The raised parts of the panel shown above will print black the parts that are removed with the tool will not print.
To make the image you remove the light areas of your image and leave the dark parts.
Gain understanding of how marks and shapes are used to show the form and value in an image. Do this by carving away the light sections in your drawing.
