Baycone 2018 will be held at the Exeter Court Hotel, Kennford, from 1.00pm Wednesday 4th April -Sunday 8th April 2018....(the weekend after Easter). Kennford is situated approximately 5 miles south of Exeter on the main A38 (at the first junction following the end of the M5 motorway, and signposted Kennford Services). There is ample free parking in the hotel car park.


The convention stutters into life around midday on the Wednesday, when early arrivals can usually be found in the hotel bar. Games ensue from then onwards...


The Roger Heyworth Spirit of the Game Trophy will be awarded to the person who has contributed most to other players' enjoyment (be that through camaraderie, good natured play, patient rules explanation etc.). Votes will be tallied on Sunday morning and the winner will be announced with the other results on Sunday afternoon.


Bed & Breakfast accommodation will be confirmed as soon as possible. All rooms have en suite bathroom and colour TV.


Prices for 2018 are as follows


Double Bedrom B&B £75.00 per night'

Twin Bedroom B&B £75.00 per night

Single Bedroom B&B £69.00 per night

Large Double Bedroom (double or single occupancy) B&B £85.00 per night

Family Room B&B ( 2 adults 2children) £85.00 per night

Triple Bedroom B&B £109.00 per night


Accommodation must be booked directly with the hotel.

Phone the Exeter Court Hotel on 01392 832121 to make your reservation and quote BAYCON to get the preferential room rate. If you want to share a room, then it is your own responsibility to prearrange a partner (the Baycon committee cannot be held responsible for no-shows). Please book early!


There is a convention fee of £5 per person per day (or £15 if you want to stay for the full five days), which will be collected at Baycon.
