Yu-Shuan Tarango-Sho

I am a 1.5 generation Taiwanese American, married to a gifted Latino man. A proud mom of a 6 year old (Mateo Ren-Yi) and a 4 year old (Joaquin Ren-Zhi).  Graduated from UC Davis with a BA in Psychology and Asian American Studies, I have been working as a minister and organizer for the last 14 years, mobilizing college students to recognize and live out the holistic nature of the Christian faith and its personal, relational, social, and political implications.  Prior to directing this project, I have ministered at UCB, Mills College, Cal State East Bay, and St. Mary's.  As an Asian American immigrant woman and first generation to go to college, I straddle between the world of the marginalized and those with access and power.  As I grow in my faith and understanding of the Gospel, I continue to be in awe of God's reign in both of these worlds, bringing salvation and shalom in these diametric realities as well as reconciliation and justice between the two.  It is a great joy and privilege to equip/empower college students to partner with God in creating social change and funnel resources into God's beloved urban cities.

Can't wait to meet you and learn your stories!
