ABOUT BASCC

Our non-profit club encourages the use of and knowledge about computers among the senior population of our community, as well as the general public.

We meet the first and third Fridays of each month at the Gloria Dei Lutheran Church at 1290 Thompson Road in Coos Bay.  There is a social time starting at 9:15 a.m. with a meeting at 9:45 a.m. and a presentation at 10:00 a.m.
Also, informally, computer help is available during the half hour before the meetingSeveral computers are available for instructional purposes.

Anyone 50 years of age or older is eligible to join.  Attend one meeting as a guest and try us out.  Dues are $20 per year for singles and $30 per year for families.

We also offer classes in various areas of computer literacy.  These are scheduled when enough people indicate a need and teachers are available.  Click here to view information on BASCC classes, as well as other classes offered in the area.

BASCC maintains a list of volunteer Helpers you may call when you have specific problems.

"Help Stations" are open 9:15 - 9:45 a.m. at each meeting.  We hope to continue learning and to have a good time doing so.

We have been an established organization since 2000. Our members have a wide range of capabilities, ranging from beginners to experts.   Come to a meeting, contact a member of the Board of Directors, or e-mail the President at cbasccpres@gmail.com to learn more about our club.
